Sean  is a thirteen year old eighth grader at River Oaks Baptist School in Houston, Texas.  He loved having friends over and building forts and that’s when he came up with the idea for the “Sleepover Bed Tent”.   He was just eleven years old and in the fifth grade.  That year, he won a school competition for his invention concept, and he became determined to create and sell his idea.He sold his first tents online and had a launch party to promote and begin selling his Sleepover Bed Tent.  Sean has been working very hard for more than two years to improve his invention and he has now launched the Sleepover Bed Tent company. His invention is a unique solution for sleeping single in a double.

When Sean is not busy inventing and running his business, he plays football in the fall and lacrosse in the spring. He also enjoys video gaming, fishing and working out. He lives with his mother, Judge Vanessa Gilmore, who is his only employee.

Sean’s future business plans are to get a licensing deal and to get his tent sold in stores around the world!  His personal goals are to be the best he can be and to always follow what he believes in.

His advice to others who want to start a business: Always follow your dreams and always do what you want to do.  If it doesn’t workout at least you had fun doing it!
